The Immobilien Zeitung sees a window for cheap apartment purchases. Residential real estate is currently “more affordable than it has been for a long time.” However, the time window for attractive purchases is small, according to the medium, citing several market experts. Market participants wondered when prices would bottom out and “the fear of missing out on the good offers is slowly spreading”. Although prices could fall further in the coming months, some analysts advised not to wait much longer.

According to our analyses, the bottom in price developments is likely to be reached later this year. Given the gaping gap between supply and demand, there is potential for price increases. However, no one should expect that the previous highs will be reached again, and not everything that is now available for cheaper is therefore a bargain. Rather, we expect greater differentiation in prices in the coming months and quarters. For example, according to location, but also according to ecological standards. Anyone who, like us, relies on upgrading apartments through energy-efficient renovation must take a close look at whether the price justifies the expected effort.
