Sale of condominiums in Berlin
Object description
The old building, located in the best location in Steglitz, was built at the end of the 1920s. The architectural modernism of the 1920s is characterized by the “New Objectivity” of the Bauhaus school. Which is clearly reflected in the clear shapes of this beautiful and very well-maintained building.
The corner building can be accessed via two staircases, one from Undinestrasse and the other from Flotowstrasse. The apartments in the Flotowstrasse staircase can also be reached via an elevator. In addition to the basement with two apartments, the building has five floors. The attic was expanded into three apartments in 2004. Each of the 21 units has either a balcony or a terrace. Not every apartment has a basement room. Both the hot water supply and the heating take place centrally and are connected to the district heating network.
With two exceptions, the apartment sizes are between 71 and 148 m2. Only the two apartments in the basement are 53 and 64 m2. The floor plans are, perhaps somewhat untypical for the age of the building, very spacious and bright. Here people have adapted to the upper middle class needs of the neighborhood.
The apartments are equipped with tiles in the bathrooms and kitchen and either parquet or wooden floors in the other rooms. Essentially, over time, an attempt was made to preserve as many old building details as possible, which underlines the understated charm of this house.
