ESG Committee

The d.i.i. Group has firmly anchored sustainability aspects in the investment process. In order to ensure smooth control and coordination of our sustainability measures and to be able to react as quickly as possible to changes in the regulatory framework, the d.i.i. Group has founded an ESG committee. In this committee, which is convened at least quarterly, leading employees from various company areas further develop the d.i.i. Group's sustainability strategy,

determine the investment strategy from an ESG perspective and advise on current issues. The aim is to develop recommendations for action at an early stage and implement them in the company as quickly as possible. However, if immediate action is required due to spontaneous events, special meetings will be held in order to be able to react immediately to changing situations and to do justice to the special importance of sustainability.

Strategies for incorporating sustainability risks

Corporate level

Sustainability risks are taken into account as part of the investment decision process. In order to manage sustainability risks, sustainability factors are integrated into the risk management process that accompanies the entire investment and management process. Sustainability risks are events or conditions in the areas of environmental, social or corporate governance, the occurrence of which could actually or potentially have a material negative impact on the value of the investment.

Consideration of operational ESG KPIs (CO2 and energy intensity, water consumption and waste generation)

Taking into account the specific CO2 factors and the supply media of the respective types of energy supply

Consideration of physical climate risks

Stranding risks

Compliance with key labor rights, e.g. non-discrimination requirements

Compliance with the Social Charter (here we could insert some excerpts from the Social Charter)

High standards of occupational safety and health protection

Tenant consultation hours etc.

Consideration of transitory risks

Attention to sustainability issues at business/management and supervisory board levels

The compliance guidelines are part of every employment contract
